expending cross tab

Hello all, hope i got to the right place

can i expend a cross tab to display a pertial summation of the data? by default it is fully expended and doesn't let you close the cube or expend it by demend.

Hi David, I'll move your post to the Designing BIRT Reports forum so others there can comment.

Are you talking about filtering crosstab to display less data? If so, take a look at the Filter tab on the crosstab properties.

If you want to change a crosstab on the fly from the users perspective, then take a look at the new BIRT Data Analyzer in ActuateOne software which lets the user "re-slice" a BIRT crosstab on the fly.

Are you trying to create expandable and collapsable groups in your crosstab? Like if you had a dimension of Years, you'd want to be able to click on the year and open it up to see the months? Something like that?
