Installing Deployment kit in Tomcat

I have downloadad the deployment kit and am trying to install the war file on Tomcat 6.0.29. However, there is some problem as Tomcat start up does not finish. It comes to the step of deploying the war and just freezes. The files are getting extracted but the server does not start-up.

Hi Ashwini,
I have downloaded the latest trial version. I suppose it is version 11.

By the way is there real time help available such as chat? I ended up deploying the trial version to Tomcat version 5.5.33 instead of 6.0.29 and it worked. However, I am facing a problem where actuate.initialize is failing resulting in the callback function not executing.

My company has never used BIRT and hence no internal help is available.

We no longer offer any evaluation downloads for deployment kit in version 11. I am not sure when and where you downloaded this from. If it is an older version, chances are that license is expired and that might be the reason why actuate.initialize is failing. If you have purchased licenses for this, you can get real time help from actuate support http://support.actuate.com

Well in that case I am not sure. Anyway, I have sent a request twice for someone to contact me so that I can enquire about the pricing and purchase options. However, no one has yet contacted me. I have done that through the website. I am based in India and hence calling up is not a viable option for me right now.
