Removing space between the cell and the label

Hi,

How can I remove the white space completely between the label and the cell that it contains? Eventhough, I tried setting the padding and the margins of both the cell and the label to 0px I can see some white space in between. Attached is a diagram to explain clearly. I wanted to remove the space which is marked green. Kindly, help me out.

Is it a matter of aesthetics? If it is I would just make the background of the cell the same colour as that of the label. The only other thing I can think of is playing around with the border of the cell to make sure there isn't a border (even an inherited one?).

Playing with the cell border?? Hmmmmm!!!! There is no border set for the cell. Even though, there will be some space in between the cell and the label in it.
