I think that what you're looking for is BIRT Runtime (available at <a class='bbc_url' href='
http://download.eclipse.org/birt/downloads/'>http://download.eclipse.org/birt/downloads/</a>).<br
/>
It comes with a .sh and .bat script

Sorry that's not the stuff ...!!!
DOS Printing means --> we can directly giv for print via dos shell(command prompt) by typing respective commands...
I need to know whether Birt Reporting tool supports such methods .. ??

I'm going to guess and say no we don't do this directly.
But you could write a java app that you can call from command prompt that runs, renders, and submits your report for printing.

If your using the viewer your report go's straight to the printer?<br />
<br />
You can generate a postscipt file (witch eny printer should exept)<br />
<br />
But if you prent the print icon your sending a print command with the aplication that your using to view the report (eg. Viewer, Word, Notepad etc).. I think we got a form of miscomunication could you explain your set up.<br />
<br />
How are you running your report (trough Eclipse? API, iServer)?<br />
<br />
What do you wanna do print at the moment the report is made?

If your using the Default viewer. you could extend on that save button to send the postscript file to the printer. (you create 2 files one temp postscript file and one that the viewer sees from the same criteria).<br />
<br />
Isnt that a sulution I take the print button is from the viewer and not your application.

if you design a report you can press the litle globe and it opens it in a viewer (eg that web thingy Birt opens) thats the default viewer. You can write an api around the viewer and imbed it in an Eclipse product.
