Summary Totals as Columns in Cross Tab
glongi
Hi,
I have the requirement to be able to add totals as columns in a cross tab, but am having trouble doing this. Is it possible to have the following effect?
Thanks in advance
Giles

What is your BIRT version? There are subtotals that can be done that I think would do this, but I'm not sure which version these were introduced in.

Hi Michael.
i am running BIRT 2.6.2 under Eclipse Helios.
Thanks

There should be subtotals in 2.6.2. You get totals by clicking on the icon next to a dimension and choosing the totals option. I don't know that the subtotals will look exactly how you're wanting, but you should be able to get those values in your crosstab though. Let me know if you have questions.

Hi Michael,
Yes, I had already got the totals working just not in the way shown above, so was wondering if there was a way for doing that just to keep the customer happy
, however I will just use the normal totals per group.
Thanks
Giles

This isn't exact, but take a look. It's close. Maybe close enough.

Hi Michael,
That is pretty nifty. Thanks for your efforts and response.
BTW, is there a good place to see methods I can use on various objects as well as an object list?
Cheers
