Border on header/ footer
LetsBIRT
When i try to add border at the group header level or footer level , it does not add it. Instead i have to go to each element in the header and add the border there. am i doing something wrong?
please find attached screenshot, that scenario does not work.

Hi LB,
You're using BIRT 2.2.2 correct?
LetsBIRT
thats correct.

LB,<br />

It seems that the border works only in PDF output, not in the preview or web viewer when done by selecting the entire row. Selecting the individual table cells works with all outputs. I also tested it out in BIRT 2.3 and it is still an issue. I did a quick search of the reported bugs for BIRT borders and at first glance didn't see anything on this. You can search the bugs and post a bug at <a class='bbc_url' href='

Is this issue still happening in BIRT 2.6.2 ?? im having the same prob but in 2.6.2 can someone help ???
mwilliams
I believe I've seen this issue in 2.6.2 still as well. I'll double check in it and check in 3.7.1 as well and let you know if it's still this way in the newest version.
mwilliams
Ok, from what I see, this issue can be seen in the preview up to the current version. You also see it if you run the viewer within Eclipse. However, if you go to Window -> Preferences -> Report Design -> Preview and choose to use the external browser, you'll see the border in the web viewer output in this case. This should be what you see when you actually deploy the viewer and your reports.

Ok, but this only works in 3.7.1 right ? Because in 2.6.2 the border seems to be an issue only in IE, i ran some tests in Firefox and Chrome and the border was visible
mwilliams
Ah. I'll have to look at IE. I use FF, mainly, so I didn't even look at IE. I'll let you know.
mwilliams
Sure enough. This still doesn't work in IE, but does in the others. Please log a bug at
http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/resources/bug-reporting/
Gustavo.Av
Yeah, this issue has already been logged, anyway thank you for your help lets hope they fix this.
mwilliams
If you can post the bug in here, that would be helpful for others who run across the issue! Thanks!
Gustavo.Av
Well i tried to find the bug but i couldn't find it, so i opened a new bug ticket.
