Muthul
I have reports with report items in Lucida Hand Writing/Arial Font.
It display fine in BIRT Viewer but on download to PDF from BIRT Viewer, the fonts render in default serif.
Please advise how to make them uniform in all places.

This is an issue with the fonts that are available for Java and how iText picks them up, its not really an issue with BIRT. But its been so long that my memory is a little fuzzy on this. You can try deleting (or moving to a temporary location) the fonts in C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\lib\fonts, or wherever your Java is installed, and Java "should" default to your system fonts. Check the following for more info:

I tried it but not getting resolved. Arial gets displayed as San Serif.
Please confirm the solution suggested worked for you.
Thanks and Regards,
Muthul.

Are you doing any styling on the text? Like bold or italics? If so, this might require another font, which would explain why the default could be used if John's solution above doesn't help. Also, make sure you are using only true type fonts (ttf). The PDF output requires these, I believe.
