A BIRT launcher method becoming Deprecated

An Alternate method required or any other solution for deprecated method(<strong class='bbc'>getPluginPreferences()</strong>). This is a part of BIRT Report launcher class.<br />
<br />
<strong class='bbc'>Sample line of code:</strong> ViewerPlugin.getDefault().<strong class='bbc'>getPluginPreferences()</strong>.setValue("","");<br />
