encyc/file files very large

Hi,

We're having some issues on our server because the files in encync/file are very large. There is one file which is larger than 8GB. Why and how is this file so large?

Care to share which releases of Actuate you are in? There are a few reasons for huge encyc, one being that you have not archive your reports and there exist many huge reports in your system. How often or do you archive your reports?

Thanks for your reply. It seems like we never archive our reports.. Is this an option in the admin? I can't start the server at the moment, because we have too little harddisk space left. We're running on version 11 btw.

Hi, I believe you have just upgraded from a previous version else your encyc won't be that huge. Guess you will have to use Partition Magic or any other disk management to expand the disk or remove any unwanted files to give it more space.

Have you logged a case to Actuate Support for assistance? They may have some solutions.
