Unable to View BIRT Report for BIRT Viewer
CuriousTec
Hi All,
When I try to run my report from the Application, I get the following message:
BIRT viewer has been installed.
Thank you for your choosing BIRT (Business Intelligence Reporting Tool).
Viewer Version : 3.7.0
Engine Version: 3.7.0
JRE version: 1.6.0_20
View Example - When I expand view example I find this error message:
+ The report file : BIRT/report/test.rptdesign does not exist or contains errors.
Any idea why? My name of the BIRT file is not "test.rptdesign". The BIRT file name I was to run is in the right directory.
Thank you for your assistance.

Are you running the report by URL from your application? From the base folder of your deployed viewer, what is the path to where you stored your design?

I am not sure about what you are asking. Is there a place where I can go and check for that or verify that I am linked to the right file path? I have the report in a 0: drive but the application seems to be looking for a different file name (i.e. test.rptdesign) which truly does not exist.

Oh, you're just clicking on the "View Example" link when deploying the viewer? If so, test.rptdesign is the design that would run in this case. It should be in the root folder of your deployed viewer. Let me know if this is what's happening.
Did you by chance change anything in your web.xml for the viewer?
