Handling Large Data Volume in BIRT

Hi All,

We have a report which is feching large amount of data. Some 40,000 rows.

Because of this report some tim gives blank page.

Is there any way that we can improve the performace of the report rendering..??

The query used in the report runs in almost 20 seconds, when fired in SQL developer.

Please suggest..!!

This a VERY generic question. There are many ways to optimize a report. First thing I would see what can be done to optimize the query. 20 seconds is a long time for an on-demand report.
