Crosstab: place a new label-column beside a measure

Hi, 
 
i am a newbie, i have a question, been trying this for 3 hours now, cant see what i am doing wrong. 
 
my problem is: 
i have made an crosstab in birt report designer. i want to put a label beside the measure (on left, on its own column), but i cant see how to do this. the designer wont let me...it just puts the label on top/bottom of the measure, not to the left as i try.

Could you try selecting the crosstab, going to the general tab in the property editor, and changing the orientation to vertical, rather than the default of horizontal?
