Cell Background Color
dbmathis
Hi All,
I am trying to change the background color of a grid cell of a grid that's in the cell of another grid but I am getting a white border around the cell. I need for the color to extend completely to the top and bottom edge of the grid that contains it.
Right now I put a label in the cell that has a background color (blue) applied to it. With no label, when I preview the report in PDF format the cell is white. When the label is in the cell, the blue is only contained within the label, which doesn't extend to the top and bottom edge of the grid / grid row. Can I somehow change the behavior so that either the cell displays the color regardless of whether a element is in it, or make the label extend to the bottom and top edge of the grid / grid row?
Is this even normal behavior for cell background colors?
Best Regards
David

Are you needing the cell color to be changed dynamically? If not then move you label out of that cell, select the cell you want to change the color of then change it from the properties editor under general. Even though you changed the background color of the label you still need to change the color of the cell, and you can't select the cell with the label inside of it.

Thanks for the replay, however I think you misunderstood what I wrote.
The cell background color is formatted blue and appears blue in the design window, I preview the PDF and the cell returns white. I add a label to the cell and preview the report and the background of the label is blue and the cell behind it white, which forms a border around the label. To reiterate, the label has no background formatting and the cell does.
Something that may be important to note (that I noted above) is that this is a grid cell of a grid that's in the cell of another grid.
