Dynamic column addition to a BIRT table

I have been working on BIRT for the past week, so please excuse me if this is a trivial question. 
 
I have a dataset which is based on a SELECT query with 10 columns. I had created a report by dragging this onto the form and then prepared my reports after applying all the formatting and styling etc. 
 
Now I need to add one more column in this table by modifying the query. I want to know if there is a way this can reflect directly on the table on the form or would I have to delete the table and then drag the modified dataset on the form again to create a new table

If I follow, all you need to do is add a column. On the layout tab bring your cursor to the lower left hand corner of your table, it should then give you a little table icon "Table" box click it and you will see row and column, click on the a column (where you want the new one). Then right click chose Insert, then left or right.

Thanks for your reply. Actually that is not what I am looking for. 
 
What I meant to say is that, if a change the data set(First my dataset returned 10 rows, now 11 rows), would I have to delete the whole table and then draw the table again(which would mean i would have to style my table again from scratch) or else, is there a way in which the new data set can be reflected in the same table.

If you click on your table, it should show the columns on the top. Right click on the right most column header, and it will pull up a menu. In the menu is Insert and you can choose Column to the Right or Column to the Left.
