Web CMS (TeamSite)
TeamSite, Turbo & Websphere
breciano
The question is the following. We want to know how is it possible to integrate TeamSite with Websphere. When we looked in the Interwoven website we saw the Turbo for IBM product. One question is: is Turbo NECESSARY for integrating the two enviroments? or is it just a product that can male the integration process easier and smoother? Also, has anyone had any experience in integrating TeamSite and Webshpere? How did you aproach the problem?
Thanks in advance.

The TeamTurbo products are designed with the following features in mind:
Management of Web application code. TeamSite branching structure, workflow, versioning, parallel development, merge capabilities all help to manage Java, Java Server Pages, and the other elements found in Web applications.
Testing of Web Application code. Users are familiar with Interwoven virtualization technology for static Web pages. A page can be previewed directly from a work area and the proxy server takes care of url resolution so that live site URL's are mapped back into the development environment. With the TeamTurbo, Interwoven has invested in the same capability for the application server. The challenge here is that the Web applications are loaded into the Application Server, installed, and invoked. This is a unqiue capability that saves much time.
Deployment of Web applications. Web applications can be deployed from TeamSite to the production environment (1 or more servers) and installed.
Currently, the code management sits behind deveelopment environments like VisualCafe and Eclipse through the file systems interface. TeamCode to be released later this year will contain IDE plug-ins, such as for IBM Eclipse, to allow for content access directly from the file menus.

How has your experience with Turbo been? I've heard that it's a pretty complex implementation. Do you use Teamsite to manage both content and source code? I'd like pick your brain on this stuff if you don't mind.
