BIRT Report - Runtime configuration files

Hi,

I have a spring project with birt integrated.
After I upgrade myeclipse 9.0 to 10.6, when I run the tomcat server, several files will be automatically generated in WEB-INFplatformconfiguration, these are:

org.eclipse.osgi/.manager/*
org.eclipse.core.runtime/.manager/*
org.eclipse.update/.manager/*
org.eclipse.quuinox.app/.manager/*

Before I upgrade my MyEclispe, these files would not be created.
I use MyEclipse 10.6 Bling Edition.
How can I prevent these files from creating automatically. Thanks.

Do you know what version of BIRT was in myeclipse 9 vs myeclipse 10.6? If the switch between them was that 9 was pre BIRT 3.7 and 10.6 is BIRT 3.7+, it could be something created because of the move to a POJO runtime with 3.7. Let me know.

Let me know.</div></blockquote>The BIRT version in MyEclipse 9.x is 2.6 and in MyEclipse 10.x it is 3.7. But how can I let myeclispe not create these files automatically.I found in the report-engine directory there is a file viewer.properties, at the end of this file there is a line called [LOGGERS], can I add some codes here to get these fiels not create automatically. How? Thanks.

You might log a bug for this to see what they say as to why these are created. They might be necessary.

How can I set log? I set ALL to the BIRT_VIEWER_LOG_LEVEL and cannot find anything in logs directory.

mwilliams was trying to say that you should file a bug at bugs.eclipse.orgThe files you are mentioned look like they have been created by an osgi container. The files are needed for the container to run. Not sure if they can be deactivated. I m wondering why BIRT 2.6 was not creating them because 2.6 is also using an osgi container to run.
