New BIRT Viewer Toolkit

<p>I've gone through all the documentation to download and install the new BIRT Viewer Toolkit. After installing Java 1.8, Tomcat 8.0.5, and deploying the BIRTViewerToolkit.war. The app started however when I go to the context of the app to open it I am getting a java nullpointer exception. I have access to the log files (manager.2014-04-24.zip) , and have attached them as well as the web.xml from the iPortal web-inf. </p><p> </p><p>Any ideas or leads on better documentation would be very much appreciated from the group. </p><p> </p><p>Thanks, </p><p> </p><p>RG</p>

<p>I have everything installed under Wildfly 8.0.0 (equivalent to JBoss 7.x) and JDK 1.7.0_45 and I can get the inital servlet to open, but when I click on the test link I get:</p><p>************************************************************************</p><p>The page at localhost:8080 says:</p><p> </p><p>18004: An error occurred while getting report parameters.</p><p>Cannot get file %2Ftest.rptdesign</p><p>PARAMETER1=Cannot get file %2Ftest.rptdesign</p><p>************************************************************************</p><p> </p><p>Additionally none of the JSAPI Embed Report examples are coming up either.</p><p> </p><p>PS; I also tried JBoss 6.1.0/JDK1.7.0_45 but got the same result.</p>
