Observation and questions about the 50MB daily data output
MadMacs

Hello,

I recently installed the iHub F-Type server and tried it out by running the included example reports. After 10 report runs I noticed an indicator at the top of the page that showed I was at 21% usage of the free 50MB daily data output. Doing the math that means I could get at most about 50 report runs per day. This seems contrary to the claim of "...output hundreds of reports with thousands of tables and visualizations each day..." on the product web page. I haven't yet run any reports of my own devising, just the example ones, so I'm curious as to what others have experienced in this regard. Are the example reports (which use CSV files for data sources) just oversized examples? Or will I get similar results from reports that I create which will be using Microsoft SQL Server databases as data sources? I'd like to get a true (ball park) idea of how many report runs I can expect on average for the 50MB per day free limit.

Also, I'm curious as to what exactly is being measured for the 50MB. Is it a measure of the overall content (data, html, scripts, etc.) that is generated by the server and then sent to the web browser? Or is it a measure of just the size of the data that was queried from the data source to generate the report? Or is it some other measure?

Thanks,

Anthony

Thank you "mblock". Those references did indeed aid me in reaching a better understanding of the data output.
