How to generate excel format from .rptdesign

Hi All, 
I have birt rptdesign file. And i want to convert this birt file to excell, pdf, etc. format's. Maybe anybody know, how to do that. Could any provide api or share the java code to generate the report.

Hi,
 
when you execute your rptdesign, you only have to choose the output format rptdocument, pdf, xls, xlsx... (by default rptdocument).
This is an OOTB functionality.
 
What version of BIRT are you using and how did you generate an output document ?
