Some of the users are not able to login into Teams

Hi All,

TS Environment: TS 5.5.2 on Sun Solaris..

Some users in our Teamsite are not able to login. It displays the message Invalid Login.

When tried checking the roles of the problematic users from http://servername/iw/tsadmin/login -- it displays the below error.

Error: 500
Location: /iw/tsadmin/editroles

Internal Servlet Error: user lookup failed with error code 930

where as we are able to logon with different users. We also checked by issuing the command ./iwckrole editor iwuser1 --- OUTPUT -- YES

The total number of users in editor.uid are around 160 and the environment is Teamsite 5.5.2 on Solaris.

NOTE: Recently we have delete some of Log files to free space on the server.

Any quick help is highly appreciated..

You say that 'some of the users' cannot log in. Does this mean that other can? Is this a new installation? Is there anything different about the users who can log in and those who cannot?

Does it look like all the TeamSite process are functional? Are there any errors in any of the log files?

These are just some general suggestions which should provide more data. You may also wish to file a support case.

Ive seen the tsadmin GUI crash when users become corrupt in the entity database.

It may or may not be the issue, but you could search the support site (i dont know if all the tech articles are available here in devnet) regarding the entity database corruption and the steps to rebuild it.

Rebuild the entity database! if is just a few maybe rebuild just those entries. I also noticed that sometimes cookies can be corrupt. So deleting the users cookies can rectify this problem.

Are the users trying to login to TeamSite or TS Admin site?
Your errors seem like going to TSAdmin? /iw/tsadmin/editroles
If going to Admin Site, they need administrator role or above, editor role is not sufficient.
