Excel export issue : 'Show Lines as Curves' in Line chart

Hi,
 
I am having a line chart in which I want to show the series line to curve.So I checked on 
 
Format chart > Series > Values (Y) Series-1 > 'Show Lines as Curves'
 
So now the report is displaying curve line in web viewer output but when I export the same in excel format it is displaying the Straight line and not curved.

How do you export it? When I export as image, I get this output in excel . hope it helps

How are u exporting it to image ?
 
I am going into run and view report > xls/xlsx format.

Export content > Xlsx> page settings on the export content page > Export charts as images

Its exporting correctly with chart image option.
BUt could you please let me know why its not working when we go through
RUN > VIEW REPORT > AS XLSX ?
The above export RUN > VIEW REPORT > AS XLSX is working fine with eclispe designer but not in Actuate BIRT designer professional
