BIRT Runtime charts problem on Weblogic

<div>I have installed under Weblogic server the BIRT runtime 4.5.0 and all seems go well, unto that I load the test1 sample report: </div>

I have tried inserting all the jars that come in the directories <span style="color:#008000;">ChartRuntime</span> and <span style="color:#008000;">DeploymentRuntime</span> (are the same jar files I think) of <span style="color:#008000;">birt-charts-4.5.0</span> into the <span style="color:#008000;">BIRT/WEB-INF/lib</span> directory but without success. I attach the initial part of the error.</div>

<p>I am running this over a<span style="color:#008000;"> CentOS release 6.7</span> - also in a <span style="color:#008000;">Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.7</span> - but in this case I am doing it in the <span style="color:#008000;">CentOS 6.7</span>. This is a <span style="color:#008000;">WebLogic Server version 10.3.6.0</span> with <span style="color:#008000;">Java version 1.7.0_91 </span>(the same in both of the operating systems),</p>

<p>I am using the same file that you sent on the link. However, I have made again the <span style="color:#008000;">BIRT 4.5.0 runtime</span> instalation from scratch downloading again from the eclipse website in the <span style="color:#008000;">CentOS 6.7</span>, and this is the history:</p>

<p>When I deploy the <span style="color:#008000;">BIRT runtime</span> on the <span style="color:#008000;">CentOS</span> (the next not happens in the <span style="color:#008000;">RHEL</span>) I have (and the previous times that I made the instalation in <span style="color:#008000;">CentOS</span> too) an error when I load the test sample report:</p>

<p><span style="color:#ff0000;"><em>java.lang.SecurityException: class "org.w3c.dom.TypeInfo"'s signer information does not match signer information of other classes in the same package at java.lang.ClassLoader.checkCerts(ClassLoader.java:806)</em></span></p>
<p> </p>
<p>For this reason I have to uncompress the<span style="color:#008000;"> <em>birt-runtime-4_5_0/</em>birt.war</span> into a directory, let say<em> <span style="color:#008000;">BIRT</span></em>, after I have to uncompress the<em> <span style="color:#008000;">BIRT/WEB-INF/lib/org.eclipse.birt.runtime_4.5.0.jar</span></em> and delete inside it the <em><span style="color:rgb(0,128,0);">org.eclipse.birt.runtime_4.5.0/org/w3c/dom</span></em> directory, compress again it and to replace the original <span style="color:#008000;"><em>BIRT/WEB-INF/lib/org.eclipse.birt.runtime_4.5.0.jar</em> </span>library (I repeat the before is not necesary in RHEL I don't know why). </p>

<p>After to start the deployment of <em><span style="color:#008000;">birt-runtime-4_5_0/BIRT </span></em>(the uncompressed modified version of <span style="color:#008000;"><em>birt-runtime-4_5_0/birt.war</em></span>)<em> , </em>then I can load the <span style="color:#008000;">test1.rptdesign</span> sample report: <span style="color:#0000ff;"><a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://IP:7001/BIRT/frameset?__report=test1.rptdesign&sample=my+parameter'>http://IP:7001/BIRT/frameset?__report=test1.rptdesign&sample=my+parameter</a></span>, but I get the error with the charts that I previously posted:</p>

<div>I don't know if the version that we are using (Generic) over Java 64 bits may cause some kind of error with BIRT, indeed the Weblogic Server seems be working fine with our actual setup, even we have another deployments that are working fine (e.g. GeoServer).</div>

<p>After WebLogic was installed and running, I deployed birt.war from the BIRT 4.5.0 Runtime ZIP. I was able to successfully replicate the exact error that you encountered.</p>

<p>It appears to be a classloader issue specific to WebLogic. The SVG chart uses javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory (source @ <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='https://github.com/eclipse/birt/blob/c709c5b07db05398fd7f306201017650fa6bf438/chart/org.eclipse.birt.chart.device.svg/src/org/eclipse/birt/chart/device/svg/SVGRendererImpl.java)'>https://github.com/eclipse/birt/blob/c709c5b07db05398fd7f306201017650fa6bf438/chart/org.eclipse.birt.chart.device.svg/src/org/eclipse/birt/chart/device/svg/SVGRendererImpl.java)</a></p>

<p>I'll have more time later this week to run the WebLogic Classloader Analysis Tool (@ <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://weblogicserver:7001/wls-cat)'>http://weblogicserver:7001/wls-cat)</a>and attempt to configure WebLogic to change the order accordingly. </p>

<p>No, I did not have that issue. I simply deployed birt.war using WebLogic Admin Console deployment and chose the defaults.</p>

<p>I'm not sure if that workaround will affect you in the long run. I should be able to check after the classloader issue. Where does that error appear, at the bottom of the report? There's no error no me for the test.rptdesign.</p>

<p>That text error (very long indeed) appears when I load the BIRT sample, however the BIRT index is showed.</p>

I found <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/topic/24218-debugging-report-at-weblogic/?p=97037'>this older resolved post</a> and used a similar weblogic.xml without the <jsp-descriptor> section, and the charts now render without any issues.</p>

<p>1. Extracted birt.war to a new directory</p>
<p>2. Replaced WEB-INF/weblogic.xml with the following:</p>
