Developer Edition 6.5 sp2 installation

Hello all,

I am trying to install Developer Edition 6.5 SP2 for Windows but I am having trouble doing so. Here is a snippet of the error I receive, which I extracted from the log file:

I am trying to install this on an Windows XP sp2 machine and I am aware that the requirements say sp3, but am not sure that this the cause of the problem. Any input would be appreciated.

which Windows is it XP, Vista Server ?

What JRE do you have on the machine and did you set the java_home env variable properly ?

I am trying to install this on a Windows XP sp2 machine. Here is the java_home variable that I have set : C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_07

Personally, I've had so many problems with Java 1.6 that I went back to 1.5. I don;t know though it it's the source of your problem and I don't know either if SP2 is.

Did you chekci nthe log mentioned in the installer errors ?

also, do you have any other Dctm product installedon the machine, the EDN Edition doesn't support that

I decided to install it on a VM running Windows XP sp3 and Java 1.5.0_16 and the installation completed successfully. Thanks for your help.

I am getting the same error when installing xCP bundle on a win2003 server.

I originally had JRE 6.0.21 and after reading this thread I tried it with JRE 5.0.22 (the earliest version I could find online) and it is still not installing properly.

Any ideas?

Confirmed same issue here with JRE1.6, will try JRE1.5 possible hotfix is causing the issue. I have installed this with JRE1.5 on 2003 Server under VM more times then I can count...
