Generating NITF files for content syndication

I'd like to create an Open Content Syndication (OCS) system and need to generate NITF files from our TeamSite xml. I found <a href="https://www-306.ibm.com/services/cwi/portal/.cmd/ActionDispatcher/_pagr/105/_pa.105/112/.st/X/.piid/136/.ciid/166/PC_136_NAVCODE/1WP100062#166
">this example kit</a> on IBM's site. In it, I found this statement: 
After the contributor has completed the article, a workflow job converts the article into NITF format (using a presentation template) and stages the data content record
and its corresponding NITF file.
 Does anyone have any experience with this?

Well, it looks like the DTD is available at http://www.nitf.org/specifications.php - so, if you understand how you want to format the DCR content according to that DTD - you just create a PT that does it (the semantics are the same as generating HTML from a DCR - you provide the XML framework and tell the PT to insert values from the DCR into place)

What more are you looking for? (not that I know anything about NITF - but it seems to me that the PT would be specific to your needs and not something that someone can supply generically)

Thanks. That sounds good but (and I should've mentioned this) I'm not a TeamSite developer. Also, we don't currently generate HTML, only XML. Is this done with a 'pt' too, and if so, are pt's kept in a specific directory (so I can copy/modify our xml pt to generate the NITF) on our TS server?

Well - I think you're going to have to either get a TeamSite developer or go through some training - at the very least you'll have to read the TeamSite Templating Developer's Guide.

Once you do that - I think you'll understand most, if not all, of what you need to do - and if not, you'll be able to ask more specific questions and receive more specific answers.
