wf files in 'new job'

Hi,
When you select no files from TeamSite and run a 'New Job' the first task in the workflow can't fetch the files that are in the current directory.
However, when I submit (with the submit button) without selecting any files, the first task fetches the files in the current directory without a problem. Is this the way the two commands are designed to work? or is there some problem with the wft file.

Please advise.

That is a "feature"

Since new job can be run from anywhere (including the task list) it does not always have
a workarea or local path assigned to it.

What are you trying to get it to do ? If you can find in the env variables the local path, you can
determine what files are modified under that directory.
