Creating multiple XML files from a DCR

Is there any way to generate multiple XML files from a DCR using a presentation template (or any other out-of-the-box functionality)?

For instance, let's say I have a replicant in a template. In my presentation template, I'd like to iterate through each replicant and create a separate XML file.

you can do so using the iw_ostream tag in the PT tag library. for reference, see https://support.interwoven.com/library/devel/tst/pt/5_01/TeamSite__PT__iw_ostream.html
