TS Search: searching EA's

Hi,

Solaris 8
TeamSite 6.5

I'm trying to search for files based on TS Extended Attributes and having trouble. I have set up the FieldMapping.xml so that the desired fields should be searchable. However, when I attach EA's to the files I'm unable to search for the EA's. I've tried refreshing the index on that branch using iwndxrefreshbr CLT. I also submitted files 24 hours ago. When I search for the EA's I get nothing returned.

I am confident that the files are being indexed because when I perform a search on the file name i get a positive response. However, I'm unable to search on the EA's.

Has anyone successfully searched on EA's? Any hints? Is there a good way to troubleshoot or test this search functionality?

I perform the search by:

1) selecting the search button
2) from within the "Content Type" section selecting TeamSite/Metadata/Keywords
3) entering a keyword that in know exists
4) selecting the search button

Have you got Data Deploy running bturns?

I am getting "Search Text" and "File Attributes" options to search fine, but have read that "Content Type" searches require Data Deploy to be working (more specifically "DAS" which is part of Data Deploy)

Which version of TeamSite are you talking about ?
The original post is about TS 6.5 Search which does NOT require DD/DAS.

Yes I was talking about 6.5 "iwovGraduate", but I have it working now. I saw it mentioned in a thread about how best to shut down ("iw.tssearch stop" then wait a couple of minutes, followed by killing any rogue processes before "iw.tsindex stop"), since I did this and restarted it seems to be fully working.
