Values stored in EA's

Hello,
We are running Teamsite 6.0 on Solaris. We will be implementing Metatagger 4.0.

My question has to do with what is stored in the EA's when you set them using MT. From what I understand, in Metatagger there is a label, and a UID. When you tag a piece of content in teamsite, and save the tags to EA's, are both the label and UID stored? We are going to deploy the EA's to a database.

Bonus Question:

We are trying to start entering content and tagging without Metatagger installed. Is there a way to set up the Tagger Gui with values that will match up later on when we put the MT integration in place? Example would be a dropdown with a list of values, lets say office locations. Can we do this ahead of time, and then put the values into MT, and when we bring up the tag screen for a particular DCR, have the values that were previously selected match up without retagging?

Bonus # 2:
Anyone have experience with putting the labels and UID's from MT into a database? we are thinking that these need to match up for our dynamic applications to work.

For the initial question: It's fairly flexible as far as what you need to save. By default, you are only going to get UID numbers from a vocabulary. You will need to add a post-processor to meet your requirements. By adding "iwmtresolveuids", you can specify which values to grab and save from the source vocabulary -- labels, alternates, parents. (i.e. "iwmtresolveuids -grab alt"). "iwmtresolveuids" without an argument returns the label by default...

Somewhat related to your second bonus question: we have an application that takes the metadata (UID, facet, label and score) and sends it to a DB that supports a tool we have. We are not deploying from EA's though. Instead we are capturing the output of iwgenmetadata.
