TeamSite 6.1 Problems with Windows XP SP2?
syim
Wonder if any of you encounter problems with TeamSite 6.1 on Solaris after client PCs running Windows XP has SP2 installed?
So far we notice the Link Checker and Visual Annotate do not work properly after SP2 is installed on Windows XP client machines. Due to our company is enforcing all Windows XP PCs must install SP2, uninstall SP2 is not an option for us.

I've seen SP2 do some pretty deviant things with modifying registry keys for installed software or removing programs entirely. Microsoft claims it's all in the name of
security
. Well, draw your own conclusion but I wonder if that could be related.
I haven't personally had any trouble with XP SP2 and TS 6.1, but I use a Windows platform for TS.

I just want to bring to your attention that TeamSite 6.1 is not yet officially certified/supported on WinXP SP2. As you rightly pointed out, there are quite a few changes including registry key modifications and built-in pop-up blockers etc in WinXP SP2. We are still investigating the impact.
thanks

Thanks for letting me know that TeamSite 6.1 is working for you after installing SP2 for Windows XP. This triggers me to perform more testing on other Windows XP machines with SP2 installed.
I found out that only my machine is not working properly.... This make me think must be my PC configured differently .... After I cleared my cookies in my IE browser, the problems I encountered was resolved. I am not sure why, It must be IE or TeamSite using cookies information that was invalid after SP2 installed.

Hi,
On April 12, Microsoft will turn off the blocking feature that has made it possible for some companies to block Windows XP Service Pack 2 downloads by employees who use Automatic Update. Does Interwoven plan to certify Interwoven 6.1 for Windows XP SP2 soon?
Thanks,
smenon
TeamSite is already certified on Windows XP SP2 with TeamSite 6.1 SP2 and TeamSite 6.5 LSP1 that was just released last week..
