Tomcat is down after install_webapps.ipl TS6.1 sp1

I am running TS6.1 sp 1 with the patch afterwards on Solaris 9.

I was trying to do the UI customizations. I modified application_custom.xml, ran make_toolkit.ipl, then install_webappls.ipl -i -f. There weren't any errors spit out to the screen.

Teamsite came up, but I haven't been able to access Teamsite from a browser since. I reverted my changes to application_custom.xml and repeated the process with out any luck. I then commented out the customer.tk from the toolkit.xml and repeated the process without any luck.

I saw an article about problems when the server can't see java.sun.com, but my server can. Rebooting the box doesn't help either. I have look in any log I can find and I haven't seen any errors. I have look in all the logs like /var/adm/iw* and even the ones in /var/ad/iwui/.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. I plan on calling support on Monday. Unfortunately, I was planning on doing a lot of work this weekend configuring TS6.1 so my company can get off TS5.0.1 since it is not supported anymore.

Have experienced the same issue. We ended up re-installing TeamSite 6.x. In post-mortem it appeared that the permissions on the webapps was incorrect. In our Solaris environment the webapps and subdirs were owned by root and the directories were not accessible to anyone but root. So in hind site permissions seemed to be the problem. The permissions problem was caused most likely in our case by the root users UMASK.

That was my problem. When logging in as root, I was doing a "su root", which wasn't loading the root .profile file that has the umask 022 command in it. After logging in with the "su -" command and calling install_webapps.ipl -i -f command, Teamsite was browsable.
