Values of a dcr into email template

Hi,
In the email template , i have to create an html table with different fields that will be getting the values from the dcr. so, if i have 5 dcrs attached in a workflow the html table has to replicate 5 times to display the values of the 5 dcrs in those tables.
How can i go about doing this and what is the method to get the values of the dcr into the html tables ?
we're using iwsend_mail.ipl file for email purposes.

Attached is my WFemail.ipl file.

Any immediate help is truly appreciated.

if you're going to use iwsend_mail.ipl as the basis, I'd suggest creating a subroutine that takes a filename as a parameter and generates the 5 column table for that file and returns it as a string; then modify the getMailBody subroutine to call that new subroutine once per [appropriate?] file, appending the results to the body of the message which you're generating.

How well do you understand Perl?
If you don't understand Perl - get training or find/hire someone who does.
Spoon feeding you the code is only going to leave you clueless if/when maintainance is needed - not to mention that you'd be getting paid by your company for my work - which doesn't seem fair to me.

If you understand Perl - the instructions I provided previously should be sufficient. If you don't feel they are - then please ask specific, directed questions.

I'll give a little more detail, but as fish said, spoon feeding code will help you now, but still leave you clueless in the future.

You're going to want to modify your script so that you have your dcrs in one array to pass. Right now you have this:

Which appears to be trying to identify which files attached to the workflow are data content records and then setting the value of $dcr to each of them... Although only the last dcr in the file array will get assigned to $dcr, but that really isn't a problem because $dcr is used nowhere else in the script. You're going to want to define a global array called something like @dcrList and then loop through your files and populate it. It looks like you're determining if a file is a dcr by it's file path, which if you still want to do, I might change the regex to something that checks for templatedata/something/something/data instead. A more definite way would be to check if it has an extended attribute of "TeamSite/Templating/DCR/Type", although a regex will perform better and in all reality you should only have dcrs beneath your data directories. So your new function would look something like this:

        push(@dcrList, "$taskarea/$file");

That will at least give you an object with the list of dcrs attached. After that, you'll want to pass this to your &getMailBody() sub routine instead of %fileHash, which isn't defined or even used in &getMailBody(). Then, inside your &getMailBody(), wherever you want the dcr table to show up, you'll make a call to &getDcrInfoTable() or whatever you call your sub routine that builds your dcr info table and pass the dcr array reference to this function as well. This function will build the html and either append it to a passed string ref or return the string to the caller and then append it to your $body string.

As far as getting the values from the dcr, you're going to need to open the file first and read into a variable. Once in the variable you can either get your values using regular expressions or a module like TeamSite::XMLnode. Regular expressions will perform better, but the module will be easier to use. Your call there, I would recommend regex, but I am guessing that you will find it easier to use a module.
