How to restrict NO. of rows in VFE

TS 5.0.1 on Solaris

How to restrcit the no. of rows in VFE. We need to restrict the no. of rows in VFE to 10. It should not allow users to enter more than 10 rows in VFE. Is it possible?

Why are rows so important? I assume you're wrapping the text? Does 10 rows translate into a character limitation?

I don't believe you can limit the VFE to 10 rows, but you can use form validation from within your DCT. If you're not wrapping lines and 10 lines = 10 explicit line breaks, then you can total the number of line breaks from within your form validation script. If not, then I'm still unclear as to why 10 rows is so important. If it's a character limitation, you can do the same thing as you would with the line breaks. If the form fails the test, a warning message can appear and the DCR is not saved.
