DD6.0.1 - WriteTuple failure to consumer[0]

OD/DD 6.0.1
Solaris 9
Oracle 9i

I looked through a bunch of forum posts that contained this same error message - but everyone I looked at seemed to have some additional error indicator or java exception or something.

As far as I can tell - my logs look pretty clean until the error shows up without really telling me anything
(despite logfile saying "DAS:" - this is a stand-alone deployment - not DAS):...

...So - I guess my question is ... what kinds of things might cause this kind of error?
Where else can I look for additional debugging information?

Hi,

1. Is this an intermittent error or something you can reproduce with every run of the file list indicated here.

2. Some errors involving runtime exception are put into <od_home>/od.log. Can we check this file to see if it applies in this situation.

3. Can you post sample data and your schema.

That was with OD 6.0.1 - we're now running OD 6.0.2 (or trying to)
We were able to reproduce the problem consistently with the file in question - if/when I get everything else working with OD 6.0.2 I might try to reproduce this problem.

The most likely cause (as noticed by me) for such an error would be a mismatch of DB schema and DD configs. e.g. value is too large for column or datatype is different, constraint violation, etc.
However its usually followed by (or preceeded by) an SQL exception which gives a better indication of whats going on. You might want to verify the logs again. (Although I am sure you have probably done this more than once before posting your question Smiley Happy

I did check the logs - multiple times on each failure -- I kept looking for an SQL error or Oracle error or something - but it wasn't there.
Like I said, if it happens again now that we seem to have 6.0.2 working - I'll revisit the issue -- unfortunately that's kind of low on my list of prioirites right now ...
