too many forms showing in cc standard
nico
So this is a known issue that if a company has several forms they all show up in the forms section of cc standard. Has this been resolved in ts6.1 sp1? or is the solution still to regex it out? and if it is still to regex templating.cfg can someone show me an example of how this would be done?
Thanks,
Nico

Hi Nico
The 'New Forms'
portlet
in CC standard displays all the forms that are available to that user with the role they have logged in on.
This is controlled by templating.cfg. You can restrict access to forms based upon user or role by configuring templating.cfg.
You can also specify in templating.cfg what branch locations the category and/or data-type is available using the locations element. This uses regex to specify the branch. Is this what you mean?
Perhaps if you provide a few more specific details about your scenario I/we could provide something more specific for you situation?

This might be what I mean, In an old ts6 webcast the iw employee mentions that as of the time of that webcast (late 2004) all forms from every branch would show up for the individual within the froms portlet.
We have lots of forms and displaying every one of them mixed together is not beneficial to my end users. He mentioned the only workaround was some sort of regex in templating.cfg so the end user could see forms based on what workarea they selected from the "workareas" pulldown in the Forms portlet.
Can you or someone tell me how this is done with a code example?
Thanks,
Nico

Hi Nico
I must be misunderstanding you sorry. Because the feature you described: viewing the forms based on what workarea is selected from a workarea pulldown in the New Forms portlet is default out of the box functionality.
Is this not occuring on your system? Perhaps you could send a screenshot through of what it is doing? Or are you just planing for an upgrade and imagining what it will look like?
Cheers
Michael
