Launchpad issues on TS 6.5 and Mac OS X
cmnut
We're running TeamSite 6.5 (without SP1) on Solaris 2.8.
We have vendor who's connecting in through VPN. They're using a variety of Macs and PCs. We've gotten LaunchPad to work on Win XP by having them use Microsoft JVM 1.1.4 (Sun Java 1.4.2 did not work for them). However, they're having issues getting LaunchPad/Local File Manager to install and work at all on Mac OS X 10.3.9 or 10.4.1.
They have tried the following Java versions:
- JVM 1.3.1 with Firefox
- JVM 1.4.2 with Safari
- JVM 1.5.0 Release Candidate with Safari
The 6.5 documentation claims to support 10.3 and Mozilla 1.6.
When they click the Edit button in Mozilla 1.6, they get the following error message on their screen:
"java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.interwoven.launchpad100.IWLaunchPad.class"
At the bottom of the browser window, it says "Start: applet not initialized."
Have any of you experienced the same issue?
We have a case open with Interwoven on this as well.
Thanks

We're using 6.5 SP1 on Solaris 9
I go through an ssh tunnel to redirect traffic on port 80 of the TS server to my local Mac (running MacOS-X 10.4.1 and I'm using Firefox 1.0.2 (not officially supported) and haven't explicitly loaded any particular JVM with it (not even sure how to verify which JVM it's using) - and the only problem I have with Launchpad is when my authentication has timed out -- in those cases trying to edit or download a file results in downloading the TeamSite login page -- the only "fix" is to quit the browser and restart it (just logging out and logging in again via the browser isn't sufficient).
Other than that - it works just fine for me.

Not totally sure what you're asking...10.3 is supported as long as you
are using Mozilla 1.6.
You can request additional platforms by filing a Feature Request with
tech support.
