Do we need to install SCS source also on CS if we are using WP Server Files?

Hi Friends,

We have CS(6.5 SP3) and DA(6.5 SP3) installed in our environments.

We need to go ahead with Web Publisher installation to publish content to 7-8 different websites.

Web Publisher server files will be installed on CS box and Web Publisher WAR file will be deployed on other box where DA is deployed.

I read that SCS is a pre-requisite for installing Web Publisher. My question is do we need to install both SCS source (on CS box) and target softwares(on target website servers)? Or it is OK if we only install SCS target and not install SCS source?

Server Files are server methods. These methods are normally called to perform asynchronous/batch processing for WP app. For example, one of these is publishing content via workflow.

You need to install both SCS source and target component. The SCS source exports the web pages from the repository to local cache and then set ups the connection to transfer content between source and target.
