TaskSpace (BAM) Dashboard not displays UTF-8 characters correctly

Hi Experts,

I have created several reports in bam and configured a dashboard in task space but the dashboard does not display UTF8 characters(They are displayed as squares).Has anyone faced this problem before?Could you please help me to solve that problem.

Change label font to Arial

I had same problem after changing font from default to Arila it worked

Hi, Imran.

What version of BAM do you use?

We had the same problem with 6.5 with Russian characters.

But this issue was fixed within the one of the HF (don't remeber the patch number).

Particularly, we recreated EVENT_DATA (NCLOB) column in the BPM_PROCESS_EVENT table in BAM scheme.

But i beleave it should work properly in 6.6 and 6.7.

Thank you very much for your reply.I have installed BAM 6.6.No patch's applied.I will apply the latest patch for BAM 6.6 , hope it will solve the problem.

Keep in mind that part of the patch is a SQL script to change column types

Thank you very much for your reply.In fact it is displaying all characters such as "ş,ç,ö" except this character "ə".I don't know what is wrong with it.

Could you also guide with the steps to apply this change or where can I find the solution.Thank you in advance.

Find below instructions for patch. When you'll download it, there is a BAM Readme file, with all the information, tools and scripts that are required for successful installation.

Patch Download Instructions

Please click the URL specified below to access EMC Products and Documentation.

To access EMC Documentum Products and Documentation:

1. Log in to https://emc.subscribenet.com.

2. Navigate to the Documentum Inc node.

3. Select the product you want to patch.

4. Locate the patch to download by limiting the file list, and select Patch=”Yes” from the drop-down list.

5. Download the latest patch package with all Patch ReadMe files starting from Patch 01.

The patches listed in the table include all approved hot fixes over the latest minor or Service Pack release. Ensure that you have installed the GA/base version of the release before you install the current patch. Since the patch is cumulative, you can install it on any earlier patch. However, if the ReadMe indicates a dependency on a specific patch of a product, ensure that you install that patch before you install the current patch.

Customers who have NOT yet obtained the licensed versions of these products are requested to contact their EMC Account Manager for pricing and licensing terms.
