generate popup for a table row in a Form

HI ,

Am using form builder 6.6 .

Can any one help me how the below functionality can be acieved .

I have a table generated with multiple rows on a form. The Table has populated values .

Table :

1. Name objectId Number

------------------------------------------------------------------

. tom 09123445566 0044293

. harry 09156456323 0044123

The users should selects one of the row (say tom ) in the table and clicks submit a new popup should open with new data .

It'll hold 1 value, preferrably the primary key of the row in question.

An alternativ is to not use the button + Echo xCelerator approach and just tie the adaptor the data item of the read only table, then the user does only need to select a row to show the details. What to prefer here depends on what suits the users (button approach is a little more performance friendly since it requires the user to explicitly choose which row to view the details of.

Clicking the button does that entail an action (like starting a process) or is it only to display information?

Depending on where and how the data you want to show is stored you can do different things. If, for instance, the underlying object of a row is a form instance you can use the ootb open action to open that form in the open items tab. Granted that is not exactly a popup but fairly close.

Am displaying the Data in a Readonly Tabel on form .

Upto this point is fine but when a user selects one of the row in the table by selecting the radio button and click submit ,

Then a new popup should open with more details .

My question is how to popus new data when user selects a row in a read only table .

Where is that data coming? Is it represented by a document in the repository so you could essentially just open that document in the open items tab, like I said:

The data in the tabel is populated from External Database through adaptor .

Please see the attached tabel data image .

When user selects one of the row radio button and clicks submit new popup should open with new details which again comes from external database .

I see, there is no OOTB way of achieving this. What you can do however, is use the Echo xCelerator (https://community.emc.com/docs/DOC-8876) in combination with an Adaptor to show details about the selected item in the same form. Something like this:
