How to Retrieve values from another file into a selection box

You could use Callout to insert the values in selection box, if you are new you can make search in forums/techlib.

Thats true...Call a perl script from your DCT using an inline command

use this script to populate options in the following format

{substitution}
{option value="aaa" label="aaa" selected="f"/}
{option value="bbb" label="bbb" selected="f"/}
{option value="ccc" label="ccc" selected="f"/}
{/substitution}

ie the script should print in this format
