Could you please guide me how to configure DFC in Visual studio2010. am bit new to .net i didnt understand how to specify the dfc.properties in the class path, is there any specific way to configure DFC in VS2010

DFC, (Documentum Foundation Classes) is Java not .net. If you want to do .net work then there is DFS (Documentum Foundation Services) for .net.

after inalling the PIA we are able to access the DFC in .net

FYI - PIA is no longer supported. So if you have any problems with it, EMC is not going to help. Plus, with advent of DFS, no one is really using PIA (unsupported) any more.

Just goto EMC support website. It will list which products are no longer supported.
