How to use selinium test for Teamsite Workflow

I want to know how to use selenium test for teamsite workflow and deployment Scripts. (OD and DAS) I know using third party but looking open source product.

Knowing how Selenium works and also keeping in mind all of the frames that are used within TeamSite, would this actually work? I'm doubtful only because I'm thinking that Selenium might rely on a simpler layout.
