Hi All,

We are planning to Ugrade Documentum version from 6.0 to 6.7 SP1

Documentum 6.0 have weblogic plugin
Documentum 6.7 SP1 have JBoss plugin

1. If we upgrade from 6.0 to 6.7 the java method will it automatically move from weblogic to JBoss server                                                                                2. When we upgrade will it automatically uninstall the weblogic and install the JBoss?

    1.  Which java method?  You are talking about system jobs/methods, then yes, the 6.7 install will create system methods in JBOSS directory.  If you are talking about custom jobs/methods, you may need to move them to JBOSS deployment directory, depending on where they exist today.

    2. I dont remember it uninstalling weblogic folder.  But, its been a while since I did this

    Hi Johnny,

Thanks for your Answer. ...>After upgrade the system from 6.0 to 6.7 which creates system methods in JBOSS directory.

What about Weblogic will it automatically uninstall from the system?

If still persists in same system will it affect the java methods?

Please clarify above two questions, it would be more helpful for us. We were waiting for your valuable reply.

    - No

    - It should not.  6.7 should install new 6.7 system methods and the server will call these ones.  Any of the older system methods will not be referenced

    Thanks for your helpful answer:

What could be the reason/usage this weblogic still persist in 6.7 system?

Do we need to uninstall the weblogic in 6.7 ? If so please guide us.

You might have custom methods in the old weblogic directory.  If I still remember correctly, the 6.7 install will also leave other directories behind under product/bin dir.

I never cared whether to remove extra stuff, so I dont know what the uninstall procedures are.
