Documentum reports: Unexpected database connector error

Hi,

Our customer is using Documentum reporting service 6.5 SP3 with a recent hotfix P01.

We have successfully designed reports using crystall reports XI to load data from the Documentum objects and custom registered tables. We deployed them in the Reports cabinet. When we log into webtop using 'dmadmin' account and try to generate reports, the system displays the reports correctly. But we face problem when the users log into the webtop and load reports using their accounts, the system throws the following erro.

Error
Unexpected database connector error

This error occures only after the reports data entry screen is loaded and the users key in the input data for the reports( before generating reports).

FYI, Content server version is 6.5 SP2

Do you have any idea, how to resolve this issue.

Hi ,

Even I am facing the same problem.In my case some other reports which are hitting the same docbase are working fine but some are giving the error "Unexpected database connector error" .Did u get any solution?

We are also facing the same issue but in our case this is only occuring with Registered table not with custom types in Documentum.

Did you able to resolve the issue earlier. Kindly help if you have resolved the issue somehow.

You are most likely running into the known issue (DRS-939). This is fixed in 6.7 SP1P07/6.7SP2.

Also, if you have a query in designer, make sure it does not have any newline characters.

Thanks for the reply, but i just verified the DRS version installed in my repository and it is 6.7 SP1 Path 09 (Version=6.7.1090.0100) This is the version i have checked from dfc.jar file in drs application.

Open a Service Request with EMC, provide the:

1. Exact version and platform that DRS is installed unto

2. Log or screenshot that contains the full error

3. <CrystalReportsInstallDrive>\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\4.0\java\CRConfig.xml

4. The dmjdbc.jar pointed to as a classpath above in CRConfig.xml

5. Query being used in designer
