Webtop UCF - JRE version and autodownload

Hi,

EMC recommends the supported JRE versions for Webtop for the UCF. Is there any other purpose/function on webtop this JRE is using other than UCF?

Also, there is a jre config in ucf.installer.config.xml and that automatically download the mentioned version of jre to client's UCF folder.

If Webtop is downloading the proper version to UCF, do we need to have the recommended jre on client's browser or any jre which can help to download the mentioned one in config xml file?

Any latest JRE should work.

The way I understand it works is:

- JRE on the client's machine is used to load the Applet only. And, for the UCF operation it uses the private JRE that's downloaded from the server, under user's profile /ucf folder and not your installed JRE on the machine.
