Workflows are not running & tasks are moving to 'Future' state

Hello Experts,

One of our Customised Application was working fine when it was pointed to a Old HPUX box, latter a new clone was created on RHEL supported version. Our CS & Webtop are on 67SP1.

Now after the Webtop is pointed to the new CS, none of the WFs are running and all the Tasks are moving to 'Future' state automatically.

Have taken the below steps:

1. Restarted Application Server along with Cache clean

2. Restarted Docbase, JMS along with verification of Agent Exec status, which is running

3. The New CS is having other repositories, where they are not facing any issues with JMS or WFs

4. No error message on Application Server logs( i.e. Tomcat), JMS Logs or Content Server logs.

5. Even running the WFs with Superuser account doesn't help

Carried out a DFC trace and found the below exception only for the below DQL related to Workflow with a BAD ID. Have highlighted in RED

Please let me know, what should be the next action steps to fix it.

Please consider moving this question as-is (no need to recreate) to the proper forum for maximum visibility.  Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and can go unanswered for a long time.

You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right.  Then search for: "Documentum" and select the first result that appears.  This will relocate it to the Developer Network space of the Documentum community.

If you think that auto-activities are not executed you should start with tracing workflow agent and methods, dfc trace will not help.

    Hi Pan,

These are not Auto - Activities, most of them are Manual & few are Auto Activities. Its happening for all WFs, not only for a specific WF or WF Instance.

Have restarted Docbase, in order to have AGENT EXEC restarted, along with JMS after clearing Cache, still the WFs are not running. Further to surprise, there are no error message being reported on the Application Server or JMS or CS logs.

    Regards,

    Rakesh

Is there any response to this thread ? We are facing the same trouble with Activities at future state.

    Hi Stein & Abdoulaye,

I haven't found any solutions on it yet, as its our Development Environment.

Currently have pointed it to another Environment and its working fine there. Am still investigating on it but got diverted due to Server & OS upgrades.

Will keep you posted, if any findings from my end.

    Regards,

    Rakesh

Rakesh, I was having something similar and the cause was that an activity was configured to wait for 2 inputs and only had 1. In the process builder the activity inspector was not displaying the input configuration and we had to modify the activity template definition.

I faced similar problem because trigger condition in auto activity.. It's waits for two input at the same time but actually I designed for either one configuration... After changing the trigger condition it works fine as expected.
