Using xcp viewer to download pdf rendition?

Hi All,

I have got a suggestion from EMC to use XCP viewer to download pdf rendition of file (But haven't got the steps to implement),

In order to download pdf rendition of dm_document i have done following changes in my application for testing purpose :-

1) In my XCP application in XCP designer in Application tab>Settings>Viewer and Formats I have associated "PDF" format with

acrobat reader

2) Now i have created a new application page and added "Viewer" widget on the page. Under the Properties>General tab of viewer

I have hard coded the object id of a dm_document object (Which has pdf rendition) to Initial Object Id field and "PDF" to Initial Content Type.

3) Now after launching my application when i navigate to the page which has viewer It gives me option to save file but the format is

the original file format and not the pdf rendition.

Wondering weather the approach I have taken is right approach or not?

Have I missed any configuration steps or Its not possible to achieve what i am trying to do

using the XCP viewer?

We addressed this requirement in a different manner. On the document properties page, we actually display the PDF rendition. The download action on this page knows that you are referring pdf rendition.
