Interwoven vignette integartion

Hello Folks,

Need some tips on integartion of interwoven content with vignette. We are moving from vignette to interwoven.
We have never used vignette, but due to a merger we are in the process of replacing vignette with interwoven.
Some questions that i have are :

How are we going to handle the failover using interwoven...what are the different options?
What are the possible security issues we could run into?
We have multiple CM systems ...how do we handle the integration?
Whats the best way to implement single sign on?
Any details of what LDAP does will be helpful too.

Any tips on the integration in more detail and issues that we might run into OR documentation that i can go thru would be of great help.

Do you not have a Vignette resource you could use for this project? I'd very strongly recommend getting someone versed in Vignette to help you guys with this... and by that, I'm NOT implying someone from Vignette "Professional" Services (notice the quotes) -- those guys are typically started from scratch, trained for two weeks on the product and then sent out on billing. Anyway, that's my rant... there are many things to consider but what you will likely find helpful is that Vignette is tightly tied to a database. So, some SQL and other scripting will greatly help with the content integration. I assume you're familiar with Interwoven's security model... depending on your version, Vignette's is more bare than that so you're in luck there, too. Does the Vignette CMS have existing workflows that you'll have to replace?

Seriously, I'd strongly urge whomever makes those decisions to hire someone who knows Vignette to help with the migration.
