Datacapture form not showing up (TS 6.5 , Windows 2000)

Pls register ur datacapture.cfg in templating.cfg file. You have made a file only in directory structure, without adding to templating.cfg file it wont be recognised.

Datacapture form is not showing up .I am getting this errorr message :"Unable to find //my_server/my_store/main/my_branch/workarea/my_workarea/templatedata/my_category/my_datatype/datacapture.cfg.Please contact your system administrator."
In details section the root cause is given :
"Couldnt get a DCT file at //my_server/my_store/main/my_branch/workarea/my_workarea/templatedata/my_category/my_datatype/datacapture.cfg.
[datacapture.unable_to_find_dct.error.msg]". I dont think there is any problem witht the location of my this file.
I tried changing the branch vpath and dir vpath in templating.cfg but that didnt help.
What could be the possible reasons ?
Please tell a solution.

If u look at the error message,it looks like it is able to detect the file ,at least its location but it is unable to read the file. What else could be done. Can there be a problem with datacapture.cfg.

A friend of mine also made a templating.cfg and a datacpture.cfg and PT for that
and he is getting everything running perfectly.I deleted the(erronous) files that i had created and imported his files in the respective folders on my machine. But am getting the same error i used to get with my previous files. what can the problem be?

This sounds like a permission issue to me. Can you browse to the datacapture.cfg file through the TeamSite UI? If so, what happens when you click on the file to open it up or click edit next to it?

Sometimes this happens when you have copied over a datacapture.cfg. What you can do is create a new file called datacapture.cfg through the TS interface and then copy over the contents.

If u have already checked prev posts for this then i think pls check path which u have provided on templating.cfg file and just try with making the DCT file blank.

I have checked the templating.cfg file : Teamsite\local\config\templating.cfg

i have also checked the datacapture.cfg and placed a empty file . it shows the same error. seems like their is some error with templating.cfg

can any one help me out.

Nidhi,

One more think i am not able to open the datacapture.cfg file
its showing the following error.

Connection Failed
iwproxy was unable to open a connection to: CTSINTCOSCOE:2381
Reason: No error.

is it due to this.

i have checked some of the thread it says that the customer webser might be stoped. i am not aware how to check the server status. its running in the port 2381.

I also came to know that its default port is 81. can we change the port and run it.

Please let me know.

There is no problem in ur code only looking u are mismatching the name in ur directory structure and templating.cfg file.

Seems like number of connections have become more than max..
Just restart server and update if it is working or not.
