not able to preview : permission denied on /iw-mount/....

Hi All ,

I have TS 6.1 on Sol 5.8 & Apache 1.3 installed on it .

When i try to preview a DCR , following error msg is received :

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /iw-mount/FMS/main/fidelity/dev/WORKAREA/poc_wa/htdocs/zz_tst_root_0_preview.html on this server.

The premission on zz_tst_root_0_preview.html is -rw-rw-r--

Check the group you belong to and if you are not the owner group then change the permissions on the file to 755

Can anyone tell me ...how we can control the permission & group of the zz_tst_.........(preview file ) that is created when we preview a DCR .

Is there any config file , which control's the permission & grp of zz_tst_......( preview files ).

do any previews work ?

Can you generate an HTML page and click and view ? I suspect it is a parent branch or directory that the server does not have permission to see.

Also try using port 81 and see if you can get to the file:

http://server:81/iw-mount/default/main/branch/workarea/mine/zz_whatever.html

Permission for all the Branches & Workarea is 775 . I tried your url
http://fid1.sapient.com:81/iw-mount/FMS/main/........zz_tst_root_0_preview.html
but it is giving same error " You donot have permission to access /iw-mount/FMS......"

the premission of zz_ file is set to rw-rw-r & owner is 'root' .. Do u know how the permission & ownership of file zz_ can be controlled .

NOTE : We have configured apache for Teamsite for the first time ...& we are getting this error .
Do u have any clue ....

Configuring iw-mount for Apache
To configure the iw-mount alias or Apache, enter the following section in the httpd.conf file:

Alias /iw-mount/ /.iwmnt/
During the TeamSite installation, if you selected a location other than root (/) for iwmnt,
you must specify it in httpd.conf. For example, if you specified /var for the .iwmnt
location, the httpd.conf entry would be:

Order allow,deny
Allow from all

Alias /iw-mount/ /var/.iwmnt/

Yes i have already made these changes in httpd.conf of apache , but still not working . It has something to do with permission , if we would know how to configure the permission of generated .html files .

What else changes we should take care of in httpd.cong ?

Hi nipper ,

One thing more , the httpd server automatically stops sometimes giving HTTP 500 error .

I donot know y server stops automatically when i try to preview .

HTTP 500 - Internal server error
Internet Explorer

Attaching my httpd.conf file ..if has to do something with this error .
