Implementation of Single Sign On(SSO)

Hi,

We have implemented the Ihub for the External Authentication and Registration with an LDAP server using RSSE API. Now when the user logs into another Application which also uses the same LDAP Server, the user should directly access the HTML pages we have implemented using JSAPI without any other login for IHub.(Single Sign On)

How can we implement such a system??

Thanks,

For the SIngle Sign On (SSO) we tried to implement a JSP login page which sets the Session attributes when user is able to login. In the other JSP page we tried to read those Session attributes in the actuate.initialise(). But when the user view's the source code ,he is able to see the credentials. This is the security issue we are facing.

P.S : Ihub uses the LDAP for authentication and registration by implementing the RSSE and the External Application also uses the same LDAP server.

Here are some references that should help you out in setting up your SSO/IPSE.

1. iHub 3 documentation on creating a custom security adapter class: http://developer.actuate.com/be/documentation/ihub3/help/BIRTDesigner/index.html#page/AIG/Using-IC-Security.27.07.html

2. An older example of implementing an SSO with an iServer that is configured with an RSSE. This one is older but the basic principals should still be the same: http://developer.actuate.com/community/forum/index.php?/files/file/968-implementing-single-sign-on-in-iserver/

3. An example IPSE from the ActuateBIRT GitHub account: https://github.com/ActuateBIRT/ServerIntegrationIPSEExample
